These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and the operator of TranscribeMaxx ("we", "us", or "our") concerning your access to and use of the transcribemaxx service ("Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.
If you use TranscribeMaxx on behalf of a company, client, organization, or third-party project, you declare that you have authority to accept these Terms on behalf of that entity.

All trademarks, service marks, trade names, logos, and brand names appearing on this website are the property of their respective owners and are used solely for nominative, informational, and identification purposes. Such use does not imply any sponsorship, endorsement, partnership, or other relationship with TranscribeMaxx.
To use the Service, you must: be at least 18 years of age, provide accurate and complete registration information, maintain the security of your account credentials, and accept responsibility for all activities under your account.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and API keys. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or security breach. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to maintain account security.
A limited free tier is available without an account, providing an easy way to test TranscribeMaxx. Free tier availability may be paused temporarily under high load.
Paid plans provide a monthly transcription quota and are billed annually in advance. Unused monthly quota does not roll over. Additional usage beyond your plan's quota is not permitted without upgrading.
All payments are processed securely. By subscribing, you agree to: provide valid payment information, authorize recurring charges for subscriptions, pay all fees and applicable taxes associated with your use, and accept that prices may change with reasonable notice.
If you believe there is an error in your billing, you must contact us within 30 days of the charge at [email protected]. We will investigate and resolve billing disputes in good faith.
Access to the API requires valid API keys. API keys are unique to your account, you may generate multiple keys for different applications, you must keep them confidential, you are responsible for all usage associated with them, and compromised keys should be revoked immediately. Sharing API keys with third parties is prohibited unless explicitly authorized.
To ensure fair usage and service stability: rate limits are enforced per API key and may vary by plan; excessive requests may result in temporary throttling or blocking; we reserve the right to adjust rate limits with reasonable notice; and attempting to circumvent rate limits is grounds for account termination.
You agree NOT to: violate any laws or third-party rights; use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose; attempt to reverse engineer or disassemble the Service; overload or interfere with the Service infrastructure; use automated tools to abuse or spam the Service; resell or redistribute the Service without explicit written permission; or transmit viruses, malware, or other malicious code. Violation may result in immediate account suspension or termination without refund.
The Service, including all software, code, designs, trademarks, and documentation, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any ownership rights to the Service. You retain all rights to data you submit through the Service (e.g., video IDs you request). Transcript data is sourced from YouTube and subject to YouTube's terms and applicable copyright laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service during your subscription period.
The Service is provided "as is" without guaranteed uptime. We may perform maintenance that temporarily interrupts service. Service availability may be affected by factors beyond our control (e.g., YouTube API changes, network issues). We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
In the event that we are unable to continue operations due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, we will provide a refund for all unused quota on a pro-rata basis. This guarantee applies regardless of the standard refund policy timeframes. We will provide reasonable notice before ceasing operations whenever possible.
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Upon cancellation, your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period, no further charges will be made, and you will retain access to your quota until the end of the billing period. We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you violate these Terms, your payment fails, we suspect fraudulent or illegal activity, or we cease offering the Service. Upon termination, your API keys will be deactivated and you must cease all use of the Service.
To the maximum extent permitted by law: we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages; we are not liable for lost profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities; our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim; we are not liable for failures caused by factors beyond our reasonable control; and we are not liable for third-party services.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the operators of TranscribeMaxx from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of third-party rights.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, reliability, completeness, or uninterrupted operation.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or through a prominent notice on the Service at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
